The Value of Persistance

Last year, an associate and I traveled to Stamford CT for an Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) workshop with Gary Craig, the originator of the particular form of energy healing. We witnessed the power of Persistance when applying EFT. We had the pleasure of being present as Gary worked with a person named Steven. Steven sat in his wheel chair unable to walk due to ALS. He was experiencing levels of leg pain that kept him from sleeping.

Gary tapped on Stevens energy meridian end points on his face, hands, top of the head and under his arm for several hours. At the beginning of the work it was almost impossible for Steven to communicate without a computer that allowed him to type in his message and then activate a voice for his answer. However it wasn't long before Steven was speaking clearly enough for the audience of 450 people to understand. Since they were working through emotional issues Steven would lapse during an intense tapping release but would soon regain the ability to speak clearly enough to be understood. We would all clap with our approval and joy for him.

Gradually Steven began to lift his leg off the chair from his sitting position and the stiffness and leg pain began to subside. Steven was a good candidate for this method of healing due to his abiltiy to access his feelings. We heard him cry deeply and laugh just as soulfully. In those hours we grew to love him for his courage and his willingness to work with Gary in front of such a large audience. This enabled us to learn how to work with serious illness.

Gary did not devote the entire workshop to Steven, however even when Steven was not the person on stage, he was in the audience receiving help from what Gary calls "Borrowing Benefits". The collective group healing energy stimulated by the tapping was a benefit to everyone present and even those who were in the hearts and minds of audience members.

We also surrogate tapped for victims of the Hurricane. We did this by taping on our own energy points while holding the well being of the Hurricane victims in our minds. One might call this physical prayer. Our conference room was electric with positive energy as we stimulated the flow of energy in our hearts and minds.

There were many successful tapping moments but the most impressive came on the third day when Steven who had not walked in three months, did just that across the stage. He later said that he had never witnessed so much love. Tapping is indeed a form of love energy because the tapping removes the blocks in the flow of energy through the body so the powerful energy called Love can flow once again.
